Hello! My name is Grace Park and I am an eighth grade teacher here at Fort Settlement Middle School. I am thrilled to be a part of our amazing school and to help our students grow to their full potential.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I graduated from California State University of Los Angeles with my Bachelor of Arts in Child Development, and my California English subject credential at California State University of Long Beach. Upon graduating, I taught English for a year in a rural part of South Korea. Afterwards, I taught 8th grade ELA and AVID at Gifford C. Cole Middle School in Lancaster, Ca. In 2016, I taught 7th grade ELA at Young Oak Kim Academy in Los Angeles, Ca.
In the winter of 2018, my husband and I relocated to the Houston area after my husband got a job at Texas Children's Hospital. I heard many great things about Fort Settlement Middle School and was ecstatic when they hired me. This will be my 7th year in education and my 3nd year at the Fort!
I love spending time with my husband and my baby son. I love reading new books, watching tv show/movies, exploring Houston, and trying new restaurants.
I am looking forward to a fantastic school year!
