Hello! My name is Grace Park and I teach all grade levels of Literacy and two sections of 7th grade ELA here at Fort Settlement Middle School. I am thrilled to be a part of our amazing school and to help our students grow to their full potential. 

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I graduated from California State University of Los Angeles with my Bachelor of Arts in Child Development, and received my California English subject credential at California State University of Long Beach. Upon graduating, I taught English for a year in a rural part of South Korea. Afterwards, I taught 8th grade ELA and AVID at Gifford C. Cole Middle School in Lancaster, CA. In 2016, I taught 7th grade ELA at Young Oak Kim Academy in Los Angeles, CA. 

In the winter of 2018, my husband and I relocated to the Houston area after my husband got a job at Texas Children's Hospital. I heard many great things about Fort Settlement Middle School and was ecstatic when they hired me. This will be my 10th year in education and my 5th year at the Fort!

I love spending time with my husband and my two-year-old son. We are also expecting a baby girl in August 2022! I love reading new books, watching tv show/movies, exploring Houston, and trying new restaurants. 

I am looking forward to a fantastic school year!
