I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. From an early age I had a love for theatre and passion for teaching. At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to travel to New York with a team of young artists and perform an original musical in the New York Musical Theatre Festival. This experience sparked a fired in me to become a teacher and use theater as the medium to help students grow.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas State University with a BFA in theatre. I continued to work at local community theaters in the Greater Austin area while managing school, a job, and joining a national community service organization. Each new experience has taught me how to become a better person and try to add a little more positivity into the world. I hope to impart these skills to your students and make them proud of their accomplishments. I know that not every student intends to become an actor, but I can guarantee that theater will become a part of his or her life forever. It is essential to me that your student feels safe when they come to school, and that they learn how to be confident in themselves. I am so excited to be teaching at Sugar Land Middle School. This is going to be a fantastic year!
