Mrs. Penny Angelo

Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Penny Angelo

My name is Penny Angelo (you may see it as Paraskis for a bit as I have just gotten married) and I am originally from the Chicagoland area. I am a proud Greek who can read, write, and speak the language fluently. I am a graduate from the University of Illinois, and I chose to pursue a major in English and a minor in Secondary Education. With these degrees, I made a meaningful transition from motivated student to motivational educator. I have previously worked as a teacher in Katy ISD where I received the First Year Teacher of the Year Award and had the opportunity to work with an amazing group of students on two different campuses. After several years in Katy, I decided to continue branching out my career in education. This search led me to Clements High School!

Reading and writing are two of my academic passions, and I strongly believe in presenting these topics in a way that appeals to the modern day student. My hope is that together we can build an engaging classroom community where students can expand their reading and writing skills. My ultimate goal is to fill students with the confidence they need to succeed outside of my classroom. I strive to provide students with more than just homework. I want to provide my students with brain food that can be chewed over after the day concludes and they return home.
