Mrs. Jennifer Otalor-Oluwafemi
Hello! My name is Mrs. Otalor- Oluwafemi, and I am one of the 7th grade ELA teachers here at Lake Olympia Middle School. I am also the 7th grade ELA team lead. I also teach a 6th grade ELA class as well. I received my bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from the University of Houston. I began my teaching career in the Houston Independent School District teaching High School Spanish. I obtained my master's degree in Education from LeTourneau University and I am currently in the process of completing my master's degree in Psychology in preparation for becoming a school psychologist and a licensed therapist. The foundation of my teaching profession is based on my passion to help students better understand the world they live in by becoming critical thinkers and life-long learners. I am a certified 4-8 generalist, which means I am certified to teach English, Math, Social Studies and Science. I am very serious about educating children and I push my students to give me no less than their very best. I am also a fitness instructor, and I have been in the fitness industry for 24 years. I also own a fitness organization called Elevated Fitness & Dance which is registered in Fort Bend County. I was born in the United States, but I am of Nigerian heritage and I was raised in Nigeria for a couple of years. One of the greatest joys of my life is being a mother and a wife. My daughter graduated from Clements High School, and is currently in college. I am married to a wonderful man named, Praise Oluwafemi, who is a pastor, author, health and nutrition coach and speaker. I delight in helping children reach their fullest potential and I look forward to helping your child reach his or her fullest potential.
