My name is Mr. Chris Buzard, Mr. "B" and I'm the Success in Academic and Independent Living Skills (SAILS) teacher at Pecan Grove Elementary!  

It is an honor to teach and have a positive impact on student learning.  I have been an educator since 2017.  I graduated with a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and Minor in Special Education from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s from Marshall University in Strategic Studies.  When I graduated college I also was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army.  I have served in the Army for 30 years. My goal was to become a Special Education teacher upon completion of Active Duty and in 2017 I was given the opportunity to achieve my goal.

I am married and have two sons. Spending time with my family and watching sports are my favorite hobbies!
