Ms. Katie Goodman
Hello there! My name is Katie Goodman and I am a resource teacher here at Austin Parkway Elementary. I am so excited to continue teaching in my home district of Fort Bend ISD and being a Sailor.
I graduated from Sam Houston State University in December of 2017 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Special Education. While I was at Sam Houston, I joined Project Sunshine, a non-profit organization that works with kids, adults, and families who have special needs. I now hope to gain membership in the Houston chapter of Project Sunshine to continue to work with this amazing organization. I am a 2021 graduate of the University of Texas Permian Basin with my masters' degree in special education.
I have an eight-year-old fostered dog, Ava, that I adopted last year. During my free time I enjoy watching my favorite show Greys Anatomy, watching movies, baking treats (especially cookies and cake pops), spending time with friends and family, and volunteering. I like to volunteer at The Center in Houston, which empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live on their own, The Houston Rodeo, and participating in environmental cleanups.
