Welcome to Pre-AP English II. My name is Christina Bryant, and I will be your child's teacher this year. Here's a little information about me:
♥ This will be my 14th year to teach secondary ELA. I have taught at Lake Dallas High School, Richland High School, Smithson Valley High School, Boerne Champion High School, and now Hightower High School. I have expeience teaching Pre-AP English I, Pre-AP English II, AP Literature and Composition, English I, and English II.
♥ I have sponsored PALS, Student Council, Cheerleading, and have been on many local and district committees.
♥ I am a proud graduated of James E. Taylor High School in Katy, Texas and a UH Cougar for life! I graduated from The University of Houston with Bachelor of Arts in Dance/Theatre and English.
♥ After 15 years away from my beloved hometown, my family and I are finally back in H-Town!
♥ I have two children: Zeke, 10, and Maggie, 1.
My goal in Pre-AP English is not only to prepare students for the AP Literature and Language Exams but to foster a love for learning, reading, and exploration. My greatest wish is that students will leave my class with the desire to investigate the world around them. As your teacher, I will create ways that allow you to develop a love for reading while analyzing the methods that aid in the meaning of an author's work. I hope to guide you into an intrinsic love for reading and the ability to articulate your analysis into well-crafted writings.
