My name is Brandie Medina, and I am the newest member of our special education team. This will be my first year teaching special education, however it is my fifteenth year of teaching. I have worked my entire teaching career at the elementary level; 4 years in kindergarten and 9 years in first grade, and 1 year in 5th grade. I am so excited to join this amazing team. I love my job and believe so strongly in the power of education. My goal is to help your scholar reach their fullest potential.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending quality with my husband and kids. I also enjoy traveling and have been fortunate enough to visit many amazing foreign countries. It is this love of travel and learning about diverse cultures and art that lead me to earn a Masters in Architecture.
On a personal note, I am an outdoor enthusiast and love running, hiking in the mountains, and camping outdoors. Additionally, I enjoy volunteering my time with the Houston Area Women’s Center a living and educational facility for women.
