Dream big! Think big! Not only is this the school's philosophy this year; it has been one of mine forever! I have always believed if someone wants something badly enough, it will come; all students can learn - maybe in different ways and at different pace, but everyone can be successful. I am a life-long learner and teacher as evidenced by over 20 years of teaching and administrative experience and a master's degree in early childhood education from Nicholls State University in Louisiana. In addition, I have over 45 additional university credits in education and TONS of workshops and trainings and certificates. I was one of the first in my district in Louisiana to study differentiated instruction especially for dyslexic students. My other certifications in Louisiana included administration, kindergarten, elementary grades 1-8, special education grades 1-12, and supervisor of student teachers. In Texas, I just returned to teaching a few years ago and currently hold several certifications. In my persomnal life, I have four teenage kids who keep my husband and me very busy with marching band, JROTC, and cheerleading. I also teach Jazzercise in my spare time and run a Junior Jazzercise program for kids.
