Hello!

My name is Courtney Burr and I feel beyond blessed to be the librarian at Alyssa Ferguson Elementary. 

I grew up in Sugar Land and Fort Bend ISD schools. I attended Colony Bend Elementary, First Colony Middle School, and then Clements High School! 

I then moved to Austin where I graduated and recieved my Bachelors in Science degree in Applied Learning and Development from the University of Texas. I still love watching Longhorn football. Go Longhorns! I then received my Masters in Library Science from the Univerisyt of Houston and began working the library. 

I love running, traveling, painting, and anything outdoors with family and friends! I have a baby girl, Olivia, who already loves reading as much as I do. I also love spending time with my dogs Goofy and Bowser playing fetch or going on walks and runs!

I truly believe when children are given the right tools, ALL students can acheive their greatest potential! I am excited to have a great year together and work alongside you to help your student acheive their greatest potential! Shine bright Fireflies!
