Originally from San Antonio, I began my musical journey in the music department of San Antonio College, where I first started private double bass lessons and developed a passion for performing that prompted my participation in a wide variety of ensembles ranging from choir to jazz band. Afterwards, I moved to Houston to pursue a bachelors in music education at the University of Houston's Moores School of Music. During my time there, I took part in many projects in and out of the university which led me to perform at venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York and the Gewandhaus of Leipzig, Germany. Through my experiences I have fostered a belief in the potential for people to accomplish the unimaginable, and thus strive to bring out the best in others. Ultimately, my goal is for students is to cultivate a lifelong appreciation for the arts and a desire for continued involvement in music.
Outside of school I perform and dance Argentine tango, study Japanese language, and enjoy learning about the diverse cultures that the Houston area has to offer.
