Hello, Dalmatians! In August 2016, I returned to the classroom after several years at home raising my children and working part-time for my husband. I am over-the-moon excited to be a member of the Third Grade Team for the third year in a row! With a houseful of teenagers at home, I can think of no better way to spend my days than with your children!
This is my fifth year teaching at Sullivan. I am a summa cum laude graduate of Texas Tech University (B.A. English and Secondary Education) and the University of North Texas (Master of Library and Information Sciences). This is my 17th year in education; I have taught and/or been a school librarian at all levels. Being the best teacher I can be for each child is my focus, reading is my passion, and I look forward to sharing this school year with your child and YOU!
My husband, David, and I have been married 14 years. We have a crazy, amazing blended family of nine children (plus one son-in-law, as our oldest just got married 2018), ranging from 15 to 30 years old. I am a parent to learners who are gifted, learning disabled, motivated, unmotivated, public and private-educated, so I hope you will find in me an ally who believes in success for every learner. We also have two golden retrievers, Ella and Buck, who make super companions for this wild adventure we call life!
