Hello students, parents and fellow staff,
My name is Victoria Scherer. I have taught at Sharpstown International School, Dulles High School and this will be my fifth school year at Ferndell Henry Center for Learning. Presently, I teach Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus and all upper level Math courses. I love working with our students, creating classroom activities and relating math to their lives! In our smaller classes, we are able to meet the individual needs and really break down the topic where some of the students struggle.
I graduated from University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Math and a minor in Kinesiology. I received my certification through University of Houston's teachHOUSTON program for Math and Science teachers. It focuses on teaching students through activity-based learning, discussions, and real world connections. This year I will begin my masters degree in Education with an emphasis in Math and Science!
I have a wonderful husband, a cat, and a dog. I love to spend my time cheering on the UH football team and the Astros! When I am not at a game, I enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking, rock climbing, fishing, and horseback riding.
I look forward to an amazing school year, Go Coogs!!
