My name is Veronica Hamm. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I’m married to my loving and supportive husband and have been blessed with four beautiful children, three daughters and one son. I enjoy traveling and reading during my down time. I graduated from Texas Southern University with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a specialized in Special Education.
I’ve been employed with Fort Bend Independent School District for 10 years where I have had the privilege of teaching in several programs such as: FLITe, Resource, SAILS and the Adult Transition Program. My husband and I have been blessed with a son with special needs. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to stay home and care for him for several years. While raising our children, we learned that our only son would not only be diagnosed with autism at the age of six but visual, hearing, and speech impairment would follow shortly behind. This brought about several challenges and unanswered questions for our family. After my son began school, I found myself attending as well; yes I became the classroom mom. After several years of volunteering and supporting Special Ed. teachers, I witnessed a need for patient, compassionate, and sincere individuals for these precious jewels and was compelled to obtain my teaching certification in Special Education.
