Hello Parents and Students,

I’m Mrs. Walker and I’m thrilled to be supporting you and your student(s)  here at Burton Elementary.  Let me be the first to recognize that we are in a different time and place (i.e. online learning as opposed to face to face), but no matter what, we are all in this together. I’m a 15 year educator,  I began my career in Fort Bend ISD.  I’ve also been a member of Houston ISD and the Abu Dhabi Education Council(ADEC) in the United Arab Emirates.  I returned to FBISD in 2016 as a fourth grade teacher here at Burton.  After earning my Masters of Science Degree, (Special Education) from Western Governors University I was fortunate to begin working with our special population here at Burton.  I have to say that it’s been amazing learning about and providing support to all my little friends and their families.  The little ones especially touch my heart and keep a smile on my face.The past four years here have been amazing, I’ve learned a lot, and I look forward to this year being even more fantastic.  More than anything, I want to partner with you so that we can work together to support each other during this educational experience.  Let’s bring out the best in each other!
