Mr. Andrew Russell

Andrew Russell is a Teacher and Theatre Practitioner from Houston, Texas.  Trained at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, Rose Bruford in Sidcup England, and the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, Ireland, Russell received his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre in May 2012 and has been passionately pursuing a career in professional, educational, and community Theatre ever since. Some of his favorite Acting Credits include Victor in Cabaret at Obsidian Theatre, Freddie in Noises Off at Inspiration Stage, Richard Hannay in The 39 Steps at The Owen, and Peter in Kayak at The Unity Theatre. Russell has served as a Director and Teacher at Magnolia West High School, Technical Director at Ridge Point High School, and Head Director at Stephen F. Austin High School. In his time in education he’s had the opportunity to direct over 40 productions, his favorites include Sweet Nothings in My Ear, She Kills Monsters, The 25th Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Arsenic & Old Lace. Moving forward Russell aspires to continue to grow and develop his skills and career in Teaching and Theatre, while making time for his second and third love the great outdoors and his pup, Trixie.
