Ms. Paula Morton
Ms. Morton is excited about the 2022-2023 school year.
Ms. Morton is happy to be working with the students at Garcia Middle School and wants to create a warm, welcoming environment for GMS students.
Students are encouraged to self-select books for reading for information and for enjoyment.
Ms. Morton graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and later received her Library of Science Certification from the University of Texas at Austin. She earned a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Houston Victory Campus. Ms. Morton has been a librarian at FBISD for the past 20 years, ten of those at Garcia Middle School. Outside of the library, she enjoys spending time with her family, feeding the ducks in the park,and watching sci-fi TV shows.
Ms. Morton is looking forward to a fantastic school year with students, faculty, and community members.
