Mr. Menon is the Associate Director of Choral Activities at Ridge Point High School. This will be his third year at Ridge Point. Prior to coming to Ridge Point, Mr. Menon attended the University of Houston on a vocal scholarship, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Choral Music Education. While at the University of Houston, he directed a chamber choir, Floreat, and held several conductor positions in Ardore, another chamber choir. As a member of the Moores School Concert Chorale, Mr. Menon sang at the 2013 TMEA state convention. Later that summer he traveled to Marktoberdorf, Germany where the choir won first place in their international choral competition. The Concert Chorale and Mr. Menon recently returned from Magdeburg, Germany where they competed in the Grand Prix of Nations and were awarded three gold medals and championed the Youth Choir division. A fan of pop music, Mr. Menon was a founding member of the award winning Men of Moores, which has performed all over Houston and the United States, for televised events. This fall, Men of Moores will release their second single on iTunes, "Human", which Mr. Menon arranged. Mr. Menon’s professional affiliations include American Choral Directors Association, Texas Choral Directors Association, and Texas Music Educators Association. Mr. Menon was trained as a model and actor which fostered his appreciation of film and art. As a dog lover, he lives in Houston with his two dogs, Teddy and Baxter.
