I am looking forward to being with you this year; I know it is going to be an exciting time because of all the great activities and learning that occurs on our campus.
For those of you who do not know me, I have approximately 18 years of teaching experience with this being my 11th year at Clements High School. I have taught all of the grade levels so I have a pretty good idea of what a student will need to progress well to the next level.
Now for a little personal information about me. I grew up mostly in a small New Mexico town that is located in the southeastern part of the state. I married and divorced there, then raised my daughter as a single parent. She is now a teacher in the Ft. Worth area, and I have one fabulous grandson. I moved to the Houston area on a whim, and for the most part I have enjoyed living here. Recently, I acquired a small dog whose big personality has taken over my home and me, but he is a huge, welcome addition to my life.
One last item I would like to share with you. I believe that every student has the ability to work to his/her optimum level of capability. It is important, however, to recognize that an optimum level of capability is different for everyone.
