Summer Camp 2021


    Extended Learning's Summer Program consists of 7 one-week sessions from Monday, June 7 through Friday, July 23.  The program is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at select schools.

    Extended Learning will be closed from July 26 through August 10 and will resume normal hours on the first day of school, Wednesday, August 11, 2021.

    • Registration Fee: $50
      • Must be paid once per summer, per child
      • Non-refundable
    • Tuition: $150/week (includes daily lunch and snack)

    • Registration will be available through EZChildTrack from March 5 – July 16
    • Registration for each week will close at 12:00pm on the Friday before the start of the session.  However if a session gets full before that, the enrollment will be closed before the noon deadline.  
      • Please note the following exception - registration for Session 1 will close on Wednesday, June 2 at 12pm.  
    • There is a $50 registration fee paid once per child for the entire summer, regardless of the number of sessions attending.  The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable for any reason and is due at the time of registration. 
    • Payment required at the time of registration.  Parents should only register for the sessions they are prepared to pay for immediately.  All tuition and fees must be paid before enrollment is complete. 
    • In addition to completing all required registration fields, parent must also select the sessions that your child will be attending. 
    • Payments can be made online using a credit or debit card. 
    • One registration must be on file for each student that is attending the summer program.  Registration cards are used for informational purposes only.   
    • After the application is submitted, notification about acceptance into the program will be sent to the email address on file.  Each application is reviewed and approved and this process can take up to two weeks.  If this is the first time setting up an account in EZChildTrack, a temporary password will also be included in this email. 
    • Automatic payments do not apply to summer payments or registration.
    • Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to Extended Learning at extendeddaybilling@fortbendisd.com. Requests must be submitted 5 business days prior to the start of the session.
    • Requests to transfer enrollment to a different session or campus location must be submitted in writing to Extended Learning at extendeddaybilling@fortbendisd.com. Requests must be submitted 5 business days prior to the start of the session.

    This year, Extended Learning’s Summer Program will be held at the locations listed below.  Enrollment is open to any campus, regardless of home school. The grade level is based on what grade students completed in 2020-2021.   The locations for the summer program are: 


    • Brazos Bend (K - 5th) - currently on a wait list for Session 3
    • Lexington Creek (K - 5th) - currently on a wait list for Session 3
    • Neill (PreK - 5th- currently on a waiting list for Session 3 & 4
    • Oyster Creek (K - 5th)  - currently on a wait list for Session 3
    • Sienna Crossing (K - 5th) - currently on a waiting list for Session 3 & 4
    • Sullivan (K - 7th- currently on a waiting list for Session 3 & 4


    Location Details


    • The grade level is based on what grade students completed in 2020-2021
    • Enrollment is open to any campus, regardless of home school
    • PreK students must turn 4 years old by September 1 and have a basic level of self-care
    • Open to students that do not attend a FBISD school.  A copy of the student's current immunization record will need to be submitted to the campus Site Coordinator before the start of summer.  This includes Pre-K students.  
    • Minimum capacity must be met in order for a location to open
    • If your desired campus has reached capacity, you will be placed on a waiting list for that campus, and will have the option to select an alternate location
    • All FBISD health and safety protocols will be adhered to during summer camp
    • Each week will consist of events, lunch and snack daily, swimming, sports, games, hands-on activities, and so much more!

Summer Enrichment

  • 2021 Summer Blurbs Weeks 1-7
    • Superb Science – Eye catching science activities where the children get to experiment with creating rollercoasters, rocket-fueled astronomy, build a maze and learn the science behind square bubbles!
    • Curious Creations (Art) – Tap into the world of art via imagination. Some of the art forms students will explore include creating telescope art, stained glass replicas, ocean beach painting projects and so much more.
    • iWorkout (Gym) – Activate our inner athlete by exploring highly interactive games such as, detective obstacle course, escape room fun and superhero tag.  Students will learn the fun in movement and the positive effects of exercise. Come one, come all, let’s get ready to rumble!
    • Fun Games – Player READY! Our gamers will have the opportunity to participate in minute to win it style games, how’s it made projects, obstacle courses and games that awaken the imagination and creativity of our campers.
    • Tournament Rotations – Participants will have the opportunity to learn Olympic style competitive games that will bring out the fun athlete in each Campers.  Students will engage in friendly competitions with other campers as they enhance their teambuilding skills.

    Weekly Themes
    Week 1: Adventure land
    There is NO sound as silence fills the air and before you know it WHOOSH!  Are you ready to build a rollercoaster?  Space the final frontier…as you look outside a rocket ship…what do you see?  Can you create a square bubble and carry it around? There’s only one way to find out and this week at camp we will do just that. Fasten your seatbelt and get ready to warp speed into space and see if the stars align. 

    Week 2: Futuristic Fun
     Have you ever wondered what the future holds? Let’s teleport to a place of discovering what is to be.  Will your house fly or become invisible?  Will you pass the Astronaut fitness test to become a pilot? You are the creator and the future is yours!  Let’s see what our future campers will invent! 

    Week 3: Camp Decode
    - --..-…--.-.---..?  Can you decipher this message?  Extended Learning is looking for AMAZING and FUN thinkers ready to solve the unsolvable. Break out your inspector coat and hat and come along for this amazing ride! 

    Week 4: Where the Wild Things Are
    Are you ready to see what no one else will be able to see? Learn cool anti-gravity moves as you embark towards Newton’s World.  How does a safari sound…let’s go and find a PYTHON!  Get ready, the jungles, forests and hills are waiting for you.

    Week 5: Treasure Hunters
    Ahoy Mateys! Come find the buried treasure of FBISD! Campers will learn how to design their own maze, participate in a paper chain challenge, and build their own Robot pirate to compete in a STEM building challenge. Come join the fun of a true treasure hunt! “Arrrrrgh” you ready to have some fun!?

    Week 6: Sports Mash-Up
    Sports Mash-Up is a proverbial smorgasbord of sports, and it’s ideal for campers of all ages looking to try a little bit of every sport.  Our competitors will learn basic skills and elements of soccer, basketball and everything else we have to offer, helping them develop balance, agility, hand-eye coordination and confidence and teambuilding skills. It’s so much fun that they won’t even know they are learning and growing.

    Week 7: Hawaiian Hullaballoo
    Aloha campers! Get your grass skirts ready for a week of sun, fun, and all things tropical! Campers will paint a beach scene, play island games, and even create their own 3D sea turtles. We will get to build our very own shooting star spinner as we admire a summer sky. This is sure to be the ultimate Island Escape!
