• Attendance

Whether online or in person, daily attendance in school is a strong indicator of future success and a requirement. It is important to ensure your child’s daily participation in each class.

    • All students are expected to attend synchronous class sessions daily and demonstrate daily progress in asynchronous activities through Schoology, such as completion of assignments and communication to/from the teacher related coursework.
    • Students in grades Pre-Kindergarten – 2nd grade will be marked present by their teachers when they are engaged in asynchronous instruction daily, tracked through progress on assignments posted in Schoology, our Learning Management System, interacting with their teachers online, and attending scheduled synchronous learning.
    • Students in grades 3-12 will be marked present daily when they are engaged in synchronous online instruction at the designated daily times.
    • Teachers will continue to mark attendance during each synchronous class period to count toward course credit.  The same process and requirements for documentation of absences remain in effect. Parents must provide documentation regarding absences during synchronous instruction. Electronic notes are acceptable.
