Hello, my name is April Molina and I am extremely excited to be part of your child’s kindergarten educational experience at Donald Leonetti Elementary. This is an amazing campus comprised of friendly staff that are always willing to lend a helping hand. Trust me... the smiles are REAL!
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. After high school graduation I attended Texas A & M University - Kingsville and earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. That is where I was blessed to have met the love of my life and husband of 16 years, Joseph. Together we created two of the most wonderful children, Iris (12) and Isaiah (8). Iris attends Thorton Middle School and Isaiah is a fellow Lion!
After fifteen years in the Engineering field (design, consulting, chemicals, and refining) I decided to make a change. My heart led me in another direction. Teaching has always been an inspiring career path I've admired. I took a chance and followed my dream and applied at FBISD as a substitute teacher. Later, I accepted a position as a Special Education Paraprofessional.
Through this opportunity I was fortunate enough to spend time in the classroom with our Leonetti lions and fell in love. My heart filled with joy from a love I never knew existed. At that time, I knew not only where I needed to be, but what I needed to be doing. Teaching at Leonetti, making a difference in a future Lions life!
Now here I am, following my dream of a passion that was brought out by Lion Pride! I heard the ROAR! This is my second year teaching Kindergarten at Leonetti. I am honored to be a part of this pack and a part of your childs life. I look forward to a productive year filled with love, education, and smiles!
