My name is Lynn Jodeit Ouellette, but most people at school call me "Ms. Lynn". My childhood home was in the Midwest, then I lived in Syracuse NY, Maryland (Near Washington DC), and now Texas, which is full circle because my parents grew up in Houston and Dallas! My husband, daughter (sophomore at A&M), son (senior in high school), and I enjoy RV trips and taking in movies together. I earned a BA in East Asian Studies and MS in Early Childhood Special Education. Starting in 1998, I taught young students with typical development and special needs (including parent training), then elementary resource. Next, I took time to guide and care for my own children full time, while also doing early intervention work or tutoring students K-8 (students with typical, gifted, or special learning needs). Love for education drew me back to the classroom and this is my second year teaching here at Scanlan Oaks. The endearing students inspire me that 2020-2021 will be a Scanlan Strong year, as we strive for our best one day at a time!
