What is the Gifted and Talented Parent Advisory Committee (GT PAC)?

The Gifted and Talented Parent Advisory Committee (GT PAC) is a group of Fort Bend ISD parents who are interested in Gifted and Talented programs offered by Fort Bend ISD. This committee works with the Fort Bend ISD Enriched Learning Department, school administrators, and Gifted and Talented teachers to receive updates, ask questions, and provide feedback related to Gifted and Talented programs.

    Parent Representative 101

GT PAC members stand committed to ensure that school policies and programs benefit all students, including gifted learners.  GT PAC representatives receive updates, ask questions, and provide feedback related to Gifted and Talented programs.  The parent representative is the liaison between the GT PAC and their school community.  Parent representatives are invited to attend monthly GT PAC meetings and then share Gifted and Talented program news with their school communities.  Parent representatives may also provide feedback to the committee from their school communities.

How do I sign up to be a Parent Rep?

Parents may apply to serve on the GT Parent Advisory Committee (GT PAC) by completing the online application.   Each campus may have a maximum of three parent representatives on the committee.  If more than three parents submit applications, representatives will be selected via a lottery. The GT PAC Representative Application closes on December 7, 2018.  Selected applicants will be notified on or before December 11, 2018.  Thank you!
