I graduated from LeTourneau University with a Business Administration degree. Prior to entering the education field ten years ago, I worked as a paralegal for over fifteen years in the area of personal injury civil litigation. This year will be my sixth year to teach sixth grade ELA.
I have been married for over twenty years and have four children; one daughter and three sons. I have two grown children: a daughter who graduated from Texas Tech University (Guns Up!) and a son who graduated from U of H (Go Coogs!). I also have two boys at home; one is a Senior and the other is a Sophomore at Strake Jesuit.
I have a passion for reading and every year one of my goals is to ignite that same passion in my students. I am an ABYDOS trained teacher and look forward to teaching my students strong reading and writing strategies. I will challenge them to meet their highest potential and create a classroom environment that encourages students to work collaboratively with their peers.
I can't wait to meet my students. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns at any time.
