Coach Nash is a native of Greene County, Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of West Virginia University’s Nationally Accredited Physical Education Teacher Education program. Her love of science and physical activity has led her to take extensive graduate coursework related to motor development and neuroanatomy, which has prepared her for her current position at Ridgemont Elementary.
She loves encouraging her students to utilize physical activity, to not only improve their academic performance but to have an active and healthy lifestyle throughout their lifetime. She is beyond excited to be a part of the Ridgemont Roadrunner team and loves her position as the Action Based Learning Lab Coach. She is proud of RME's dedication to incorporating physical activity to enhance academic performance, which is reflected in numerous campus awards at the national and local levels. This year we are ecstatic to be one of the Alliance for a Healthier Generation’s Healthiest Schools.
In addition to running the ABL Lab, Coach Nash is the Team Leader for the Enrichment Team. She serves as an Elementary PE Curriculum Writer for the district as well as a member of the Elementary PE Leadership Cadre.
When she is not in the Action Based Learning lab, she enjoys spending her free time with her family, coaching her son’s t-ball team, swimming, skiing and watching sports. In particular, cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and the West Virginia Mountaineers!
