I grew up in Schaumburg, IL, a Northwest suburb of Chicago. After high school I attended Auburn University and majored in Marine Biology. Towards the end of college I became interested in Aquaculture, and pursued a Masters in that field at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. I worked for three years at a commercial Red Drum farm in Palacios, TX. My family decided more stability was necessary in our lives. I have always had a passion for teaching since I taught Freshman Biology Lab while earning my Master's at TAMUCC, so I decided to pursue teaching, and Hightower has welcomed me with open arms. I played football for 10 years of my life, and walked on to Auburn University as a long snapper. I look forward to the opportunity I have recently been presented to coach football here at Hightower starting in the Fall.
I have an amazing wife of 8 years named Whitney, and two awesome cats named Raja and Aubie. We are expecting our first child in January!
I believe all students have the potential to, and can learn. However, the key to success must come from both external motivation (family, friends, teachers), internal motivation from within the student themselves, and good old fashioned hard work. I look forward to teaching each and every student that walks through my classroom door about the amazing and incredible world that is aquatic science!
