Hello Parents and Students,

My name is Raquel Mamou and I am honored to be teaching Principles of Health Science and Health Science Theory to our future medical professionals.  In my previous capacity I served as the Director of Rehabilitation for Reliant Rehabilitation for 2.5 years, and prior to that I worked as a staff Occupational Therapy Assistant for 17 years.  I've worked for numerous healthcare facilities and in a variety of settings ranging from skilled nursing facilities, home health and hospitals.  I worked for 8 years as a school based therapist for Harris County Department of Education, providing therapy services and instructional support services to the special education students at Houston Independent School District.  My certification as a Therapist was obtained through Houston Community College of Health Sciences in the Medical Center and I received my B.S. in Health Information Management from Southern New Hampshire University. Education has always had a positive impact on my life and I believe that our students have unlimited potential when armed with the right level of academic knowledge.  I look forward to igniting the spark of knowledge in our future medical leaders.
