Hi, I'm Ms. Glass and am excited to be a part of the Special Education team here at Colony Bend Elementary! This year I'll be Co-teaching 4th grade Reading and teaching 2nd grade Reading/ELA. It is going to be a great year full of learning and new adventures. I look forward to getting to know each and everyone of the students but first I will tell you a few things about myself!
I grew up in Fort Bend County and am a graduate of Clements High school. After highschool, I attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX and then the University of Houston - Downtown where I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. I previously worked at CHS as a Special education Inclusion-support paraprofessional in which I gained valuable information and training. I have always had a passion and love of children and knew ever since I was in the third grade at Palmer Elementary, that I was eventually going to be a teacher someday. I enrolled in an Alternative certification program, A+ Texas Teachers, and received my education certifications in Core Subjects EC - 6, Special Education EC - 12 and English as a Second Language EC-12. This will be my Fourth year here at CBE and I am THRILLED to make this my Best year yet!
I am the youngest of four siblings, having two older brothers and one older sister. I have two nieces and two nephews who I absolutely adore and cherish. I love spending time with my family and friends, Kate Spade, home decor and traveling. So far I have visited seven different countries and have many more to go! I also love doing D-I-Y activities, Home decor, shopping, movies, trying new foods and experiencing new things. I look forward to learning from my students and putting all that I have learned to use in helping them to succeed!
I'm looking forward to another great year at Colony Bend, Go Eagles!!
