Mrs. Veronica White

My name is Veronica White. I was born in Houston, Texas.  I’m married to my loving and supportive husband.  I enjoy traveling, long walks and reading during my down time.  I graduated from Texas Southern University with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and specialized in Special Education.

I’ve been employed with Fort Bend Independent School District since 2003.  I have had the privilege of teaching in several programs such as: FLITe (FLASH) , Resource, SAILS (lifeskills) and Adult Transition. My husband and I have been blessed with a son with special needs.  I was fortunate to have the opportunity to stay home and care for him for several years.  While raising our children, we learned that our son would not only be diagnosed with autism at the age of six but visual, hearing, and speech impairment would follow.

When my son began school at age 3, I found myself attending as well; yes I became the school mom. After several years of volunteering and supporting Special Ed. teachers, I witnessed a great need for caring, patient, and compassionate individuals for these precious jewels and was compelled to change my Computer Science degree plan to Special Education.
