School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) Meetings

Meetings

The Fort Bend ISD School Health Advisory Council meets on the first Tuesday of every other month from 8:30 am - 10:00 am in the FBISD Board Room at 16431 Lexington Blvd, Sugar Land. Meetings occur in February, April, June, August, October, and December. Sub-committees meet in the intervening months by arrangement with the members of each sub-committee.

Membership on the SHAC is by annual school board appointment. Meetings are open to the public.

The work of the SHAC is carried out by its sub-committees. These committees include:

• Family and Community Involvement
• Child Nutrition
• Physical Education/Health Education
• Health Services
• Healthy and Safe School Environment
• Staff Wellness
• District Student Advisory Council

Membership on a sub-committee is not limited to members of the full SHAC, but may consist of district staff and community members interested in coordinated school health issues.
