Fort Bend ISD Public Information

Government Code 552.002(a) defines "public information" as information collected, assembled, or maintained under a law or ordinance or in connection with the transaction of official business by the Board or for the Board and to which the Board has a right of access.

Public information may be requested from the Fort Bend Independent School District by the public during the District’s normal business hours via the Office of Public Information Requests and Student Transfers.  It is important to note that government entities are not required to respond to questions via the TPIA; however, if available, records that would provide the answers to posed questions will be provided if not excepted from release via statute.  Information pertaining to charges for governmental entities providing copies of or access to information deemed public is set forth in State law, Subchapter F of the Public Information Act, Sections 552.261 through 552.274.
