Profile
Fort Bend ISD Police Officers are present daily at the middle and high school campuses. Officers are also available for quick dispatch to elementary campuses when needed and make frequent foot patrols on elementary campuses. All officers are licensed by the State of Texas and enforce Fort Bend ISD policies, applicable ordinances, and state laws. The Police Department provides a multitude of police related services for our students and community.
Services & Programs
Public Safety
Crisis Response Team – specially-trained officers who are the district’s first response to any crisis on FBISD properties
Traffic Safety Division – coordinates the district’s crossing guard program and assists with traffic concerns on and around FBISD properties
Quality Control/Community Service – provides educational programs on r.a.d.KIDS (resisting aggression defensively), stranger danger, violence prevention, consequences of drinking and driving, alcohol awareness, bicycle safety, gun safety, crisis management planning
Police Bike Patrol – consisting of a group of trained police officers who are assigned to patrol the perimeter of all athletic events
Crime Prevention
Student Crime Stoppers Hotline (281-491-TIPS) – provides opportunities for students to report illegal activities that take place on school property by calling a tips hotline, 281-491-TIPS (491-8477). All calls remain anonymous and students can receive monetary rewards for information that leads to any prosecution or arrest.
Criminal Investigation Division – investigates criminal offenses that have occurred on FBISD properties
Threat Assessment Officer – coordinates school violence prevention efforts and investigates potentially violent situations that may involve students, parents, or staff members
K-9 Division – The K-9 Division has three scent detection dog teams trained to detect illegal narcotics and weapons
Gang Suppression & Intelligence Division – Investigates potential gang members, gathers and shares information with outside agencies and suppresses gangs and gang movement into Fort Bend ISD
