Online Employment Application Procedures
for Paraprofessionals/Classified Applicants Thank you for applying with Fort Bend Independent
School District. Please note: The application is best viewed using Netscape 4.5 or higher or Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher. You may want to reduce the size of your browser's font to allow more of the application to be visible on your screen, if needed. If RealPlayer pops up when you apply, please remove the program. You must have a social security number to complete the on-line application. (Do not create a fake social security number or use any other number but a U.S. social security number in the 'Applicant ID (SSN)' field on the online application or your file will be deleted from the system). If you have a social security number, you must complete the online application. Be sure to record your username and password to access your application in the future! Applications remain active for one year from submission date. They are held 'inactive' for an additional year and then deleted from the system, if you do not update it. It is your responsibility to update your application, using your application I.D. and password, if you are not under contract and wish to be considered for current posted vacancies. Please remember that you can change your phone number, address, name, etc. at any time. This is the beauty of the online application. Before applying online, please have the following information available for your reference:
After you complete the online application, you must submit a copy of your high school diploma* (or official transcripts from all universities/colleges attended) to Human Resources before your application can be viewed by principals. However, you can upload your resume, diploma/transcripts, certificates, etc. into your online application, but please read the uploading instructions carefully. If you have problems, you can always submit them by mail. Please remember that you must submit a resume for each posted position. *Since diplomas are shredded once they are scanned into an online application, we only need copies. Please

Online Application If you have any difficulties or receive an error message with the online application, first check the message and correct the error, if possible. Most problems are a result of applicants not hitting the 'submit' button after they have reviewed and printed their online application. Please contact our applicant tracking specialists by e-mail (myriam.chavez@fortbend.k12.tx.us) if you still receive an error message after making the necessary corrections. (Please put 'paraprofessional' or 'professional' in the subject area.) By e-mailing them a copy of the error message, they can correct the problem faster than if you call. If you need to call, the numbers are 281.634.1270. Only use these phone numbers or the e-mail address for questions regarding any online application errors and/or difficulties and not for questions regarding vacancies.
