LICENSED SPECIALIST SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGY

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
To provide psychological consultation, assessment, and counseling services to students, parents and professional staff

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree
• Licenser by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists
• Minimum two years experience providing psychological services or related field in a school district, preferred

JOB GOALS:

Administer psychological assessment to students referred by the campus support team; Writes psychological reports and completes eligibility data in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines; Attends Admission, Review, and Dismissal meetings for the purpose of interpreting psychological data and assisting with the development of the individual educational plan (IEP) and behavior management plan; Provides individual or group counseling for identified students within the regular and special education populations; Assists with implementation of programming for students with emotional or behavioral difficulties; Keeps informed of and works within local, state, and federal guidelines in the delivery of psychological consultation, assessment, and counseling services; Serves as a facilitator to professional staff and parents to aid in psychological well being of all students; Keeps abreast of newly developed assessment instruments and psychological procedures; Provides crisis intervention services to students and staff when needed.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• 187 days

SALARY RANGE:
