Once you complete an online application and submit your documents, you can email the principals who have a vacancy posted. Click the link to the school to find out more about the campus, and click the 'Faculty' link to see the name, title, and email addresses.

No. We receive many applications per day and work quickly to screen them. A Human Resource Administrator reviews your application to make sure it is complete. Once we receive copies of your college transcript(s) and certificate(s), your application is made available to principals/supervisors to view in their online search for applicants in your area of certification. Principals contact you as they have vacancies on their campus.
The beauty of the online application is the applicant's control over any changes. At any time the applicant can make appropriate changes to update their online application.
No. Once we screen an application and make it viewable, the principal contacts the applicant, if interested, for a campus interview.

Campus vacancies are listed on separate web pages by elementary, middle, and high school and are updated daily. If a campus has a vacancy listed in your area of certification, you are welcome to email your resume to the principal.
Yes. We will consider alternative certified teacher applicants in all areas of certification, once they pass their content area exam and finish their pre-assignment training.
Yes. If you do not live in the Houston/Sugar Land/Missouri City area, we will gladly conduct a phone interview. After the interview, we'll notify principals of your interest and plans to visit the area, so that they can contact you to schedule a time for you to visit their campus.
If you plan to move to Texas, you need to contact SBEC as soon as possible to have your certificate evaluated. Once you receive the results, you need to take your content area exam. If hired by Fort Bend ISD, we will reimburse you for the fee you paid SBEC to review your out-of-state certificate.
