SPECIALIST (Re-post)
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required with at least 3 years directly related experience and/or an Associate Degree, Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related science preferred.
Working knowledge of Energy Management Systems preferred
Working knowledge of IAQ/Energy Conservation procedures preferred
Working knowledge of EPA guidelines policies preferred
Knowledge in area of Microsoft Office Suite and the Internet or Professional software a plus
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; and demonstrated ability to prepare technical reports required.
JOB GOALS:
Works throughout district with FBISD personnel on all IAQ/Energy Conservation issues; helps with scheduling after hour school functions/rental activities; prepares energy and IAQ special reports; develops classes to inform all district personnel of the energy/IAQ policies; work with Energy Manager on routine and special duties or assignments; Reviews lighting needs of district and implements savings programs; assist the Energy Manager with specifications, programs pertaining to energy utilization and conservation to reduce Utilities budget; maintains records and procedures for EPA and FBISD IAQ problems, actions and solutions; surveys district for possible energy observation; measures and or IAQ issues; develop and maintain energy conservation/IAQ policies and procedures; Monitor indoor air quality in all district facilities recommends corrective actions and preventive maintenance pertaining to IAQ/Energy issues.
