DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES (Re-post)
GENERAL STATEMENT OF
DUTIES:
Under general supervision, performs responsible administrative tasks in
directing, planning and supervising the District’s Maintenance/Operations and
Energy Management Department to provide physical facilities that are healthy,
safe, attractive, pleasant, and smoothly functioning so that a stimulating
learning environment exists.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree; degree in engineering, architecture, facilities management or related field, preferred
Master’s degree, preferred
TASBO Certification, preferred
Extensive and progressively more responsible experience in the field of facility maintenance and custodial services, some of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity.
JOB GOALS:
Directs the FBISD Energy Management Program, including the daily setting of schedules for air conditioning and heating (HVAC) and maintenance of all HVAC equipment; directs the FBISD maintenance program, including work order and database reporting; directs the work of the managerial and supervisory staff and through them, the maintenance/operation crews; develops responsibilities and objectives, establishes priorities, and monitors progress for each functional area; prepares departmental project schedules and expenditure forecasts; monitors the district’s utility budget; oversees expenditure management tasks; recommends the purchase of necessary equipment, material and supplies; advises the Executive Director of Support Services and other administrators in the District on matters dealing with maintenance and operations; develops the Department’s annual budget and submits to the Executive Director of Support Services; prepares project feasibility studies and/or reports in support of District Goals.
