COORDINATOR
Regional Day School Program for the Deaf (Re-post)
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
To maintain quality programming for hearing impaired students by development,
implementation and evaluation of RDSPD services while following federal, state
and local procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree
Teacher Certification
Special Education Supervision Certification, Principal or Mid-Management Certification
Deaf Education Certificate, preferred
Special Education Certificate, preferred
Three years of successful teaching experience
Administrative or supervising experience, preferred
JOB GOALS:
Act under the immediate supervision of the Director of Special Educ the fiscal agent.
Work cooperatively with the accounting department for the fiscal agent regarding budgetary issues related to personnel and per pupil amounts.
Plan and assist in the implementation of cooperative-wide, coordinated and articulated program for students who are served through the RDSPD.
Assist teachers in finding solutions to curriculum and instructional problems in the area of assignment
Plan, organize and implement staff development activities for RDSPD staff
Evaluate and cooperate in securing materials designed to assist teachers in the provision of instruction
Assist in the evaluation of policies and make recommendations for change
Execute RDSPD board policies and administrative procedures
Assist with interview and employment of personnel in the area of assignment
Prepare and present Advisory Board agenda on issues related to personnel, instruction, and budgetary concerns
