AIDE, PRE-K - RIDGEGATE ELEMENTARY Job# 2374

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Under the direct supervision of the teacher, building administrator, and appropriate supervisor.  The kindergarten aide provides instructional support to the classroom teacher performing a variety of duties and responsibilities.   

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 48 college hours   

• Strong interpersonal skills 

• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing  

• Ability to follow teacher’s planned program

JOB GOALS:

Provides instructional support to the classroom teacher; assists with record keeping, bulletin board displays, preparation and development of instructional materials; provides coverage for the classroom during teacher meetings; operates a variety of classroom instructional equipment including but not limited to computers, audiovisual equipment and video equipment; maintains computer records and/or files related to student records;  prepares instructional materials and equipment for teacher use.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• 184 days

SALARY RANGE:

• Pay Grade 4 - Salary according to experience and qualifications
