AIDE, INSTRUCTIONAL - RIDGEGATE ELEMENTARY Job#2094

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Under the direction of the classroom teacher.  The Instructional Aide provides instructional support to the classroom teacher performing a variety of duties and responsibilities.  Ability to work with students with various ability levels.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 48 college hours  

• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing 

• Strong interpersonal skills 

• Ability to follow teacher’s planned program

JOB GOALS:

Provides instructional support to the classroom teacher; assists with record keeping, preparation and development of instructional materials, and bulletin board displays; provides coverage for the classroom during teacher meetings; operates a variety of classroom instructional equipment, including but not limited to computers, audiovisual equipment, and video equipment; maintains computer records and/or files related to student records or library materials; prepares instructional materials and equipment for teacher use.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• 184 days

SALARY RANGE:

• Pay Grade 4 - Salary according to experience and qualifications
