GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Drives a school bus and transports regular and special education students to and from school.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school graduate, GED or equivalent preferred
• Acceptable driving record according to TEA regulations
• Possession of a valid Texas CDL type driver’s license desired
• Must successfully complete bus driver training program and Texas School Bus Driver certification program
• Comply with all laws as they apply to School Bus Driving

JOB GOALS:

Drives a school bus on an established route to transport students to and from schools; picks-up and drops-off students as scheduled; may transport students to and from locations other the schools; administers the student discipline program relating to school buses, and prepares discipline reports as necessary; performs and records daily safety checks on the bus and bus components and equipment; performs minor maintenance and cleaning tasks to ensure safe and efficient operations; prepares daily and monthly reports of operations and activities.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• 177days

SALARY RANGE:

• Pay Grade 46 - Salary according to experience and qualifications
