Student Teacher/ACP Applicant Observation Hours Procedure

If you would like to fulfill your University or ACP observation hours with Fort Bend ISD you MUST first complete an online criminal history application form by filling out a Criminal History Application for Student Observer.

You will receive an electronic communication from Fort Bend ISD within 48 hours of submitting the background check form to use as proof of clearance.

• Fall Observations should be scheduled from September 17, 2012 to November 16, 2012.
• Spring Observations should be scheduled from January 14, 2013 to April 26, 2013.

We do not schedule Observations during the summer months.

You may contact the campus of your choice electronically to place your request for observation. Please provide the campus principal with the following information:

• Observation Hour Request Form Application.
• University’s syllabus which states the number of hours you are required to complete.
• A signed copy of FBISD’s Observation Guidelines.

Student Teachers

Human Resources will work directly with Field Experience Supervisors in placing student teachers for the fall and spring semesters. University Supervisors, please follow the dates below for placement requests:

• Fall Placements are required to be submitted no later than November 16, 2012.
• Spring Placements are required to be submitted no later than April 26, 2013.
