 The Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church Youth Department, representing students from 15 school campuses across the Fort Bend, Lamar CISD and Katy school districts, sponsored a two-week Hurricane Ike School Supply Drive for McAuliffe Middle School. The Youth Department, with the support of generous donations from the Missouri City Wal-mart presented McAuliffe Middle School principal with over $1,000 worth of school supplies. Desiree Melchor, General Manager at Wal-mart in Missouri City, committed to providing teachers with additional supplies and gift cards when they return to the McAuliffe campus.
