Parents Business Partners Students Civic Leaders Retirees / Seniors

Over 800 Fort Bend ISD students participated in Lemonade Day, a community-wide entrepreneurial event designed to teach kids the skills they need to be successful in the future. Youth learned to set goals, develop a business plan, establish a budget, seek investors, provide customer service and give back to the community. Each participant learned important skills that will put them on a path to becoming future business leaders.

Young business owners set up over 27,000 lemonade stands throughout the Greater Houston area with considerable support from businesses, youth organizations, faith-based organizations, schools, teachers, family members and friends. Young entrepreneurs who participated in Lemonade Day 2009 entered a variety of contests, including:  Best Tasting Lemonade, Most Successful Business and Best Lemonade Stand.

Trenton and Winston Roy (at bottom-left) were selected to attend a celebration at the Federal Reserve Bank in Houston for the Most Successful Business and Best Lemonade Stand contest winners.
