Texas Public School Nutrition Guidelines
On March 2, 2004, the Texas Department of Agriculture issued
the Texas Public School Nutrition Policy. According to the
state, 35 percent of Texas' children are considered obese
or overweight. This is a ten percent increase over the past
decade, and a trend that needs to be addressed. Parents and
students can access the most current version of this policy
