Admission & Registration

To register your child/children you will need the following items: Proof of residency - lease or deed Current Utility Bill - electricity or water Birth Certificate - original Social Security Card - for the student Immunization Record - current Picture ID of the parent or guardian Report Card - grades 2-5 TAKS Report - grades 4-5 Pre-K students must meet eligibility requirements as indigent or second language learners.

The emergency closing of schools is determined byt the superintendent. Announcement of such a closing will be made via the news media. Illness
|
|
Your child may not remain at school if he/she complains of: Fever of 100.4 or above suspected contagious disease vomiting diarrhea undetermined rash feeling too badly to remain at school Children should be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school. If medication must be given at school, it must be: 1. provided by the parents and kept in the clinic 2. in original labeled container 3. accompanied by a written request (name of child and physician, name of medication, amount to be given and when given, date, signature of parent or guardian.) All medication must be brought to the clinic by the child's parent or guardian. Children may not bring medication to school.

Parent Center

Our Parent Center is a great place for volunteers from the community. Please stop by and visit Townewest's new Parent Center Coordinator. The Parent Center provides a place for fellowship as well as an opportunity to help the teachers and staff at Townewest.
