Basic Electronics: DC-AC Circuits This course is the study of the fundamentals of direct and alternating current including Ohm's law and Kirchoff's laws with emphasis on circuit analysis techniques of resistive networks and DC/AC measurements. Students will analyze circuits from the simple to complex; construct circuits and develops skills in troubleshooting. Students will learn to solder and operate various type of test equipment, such as meters, oscilloscope and frequency generators. Digital Fundamentals: This course is designed to expand on the skills learned in Basic Electronics and apply them to digital electronics covering number systems, binary mathematics, digital codes, logic gates, Boolean algebra, Karnaugh maps, and combinational logic. Emphasis is placed on digital circuit logic analysis and troubleshooting digital circuits. Students will learn to operate logic probes and logic analyzers.
The course # for Electronics I is CJ8121 & CJ8122 The course # for Electronics II is CJ8221 & CJ8222 This class meets 2 periods each day.
