Welcome to Music
 
Music is a general music class using state TEKS objectives as curriculum guidelines. Instruction includes singing skills, rhythm activities, active movement, music notation, music history, creative expression, performance skills, and instrument exploration, all presented in an encouraging, developmentally appropriate, multi-cultural style. Emphasis is on introducing and enjoying music, as well as preparing the student for further instruction. New this year: 5th grade will be taking a District music assessment test over Music TEKS objectives in May for the first time.
