Welcome to Third Grade

Third grades at Settlers Way are learning to use thinking maps to organize their ideas in all subject areas. Place value, graphs, and problem solving are being covered in math. In science they are learning about chemicals and safety practices, while citizenship and map skills are the main focus in social studies. They are also reviewing complete sentences, punctuation, capitalization, and subjects/predicates in language. The students are also enjoying reading stories about everyday children.
