Help raise money for kids with cancer by donating .50 (or more); you'll get to wear a hat at school all day! Money should be turned into homeroom teachers before 5/14 for Hats On Day on Thursday 5/15.

Fun in the sun on Fri., 5/16! Field Day will be held (rain or shine) all day on Friday. No cafeteria lunches will be served. Parents, please volunteer your time! Drinks donations are also needed.

Get a jumpstart on next year by ordering school supplies for your student(s). Order forms went home on folders but are also available at the fron office. Orders and payment must be in by May 23, 2008.

All of our wonderful VIPS are invited to attend our annual VIPS Recognition Breakfast on Thurs., 5/22 at 8:30 a.m. in the Teachers Lounge. Hope you can come!

The second registration date for the pre-kindergarten program for the 2008-09 school year will take place at our campus on 5/15 beginning at 8:30 a.m. Processing is done on a first-come, first-serve basis. To meet language eligibility requirements, children will be tested at the time of application and will need to be present for testing.

Free sign language classes are held at SWE every Tuesday from 5:45-6:45 p.m. These classes meet weekly, school schedule permitting. No previous knowledge is necessary to start the classes. Information flyers are available at the front office.

Complete your Criminal History Reports now so that you can begin to volunteer. Do this early to prevent delays in volunteering and chaperoning field trips!

Please call 281-634-4360 or 281-634-4366 before 8:15 a.m. to report that your child will be absent or late to school. When your child returns to school they should bring a written excuse to their homeroom teacher. If the child has been to the doctor or dentist they need to bring a note from the doctor's office. Thank you!

The safety of all students is a top priority at SWE. Please use the following procedures for morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal. All care providers, including family and friends, should be familiar with these procedures.
